Dane and Caitlin met and immediately fell into a regular training regime that both challenged and delighted them... Duo Die formed nine months later. Since the beginning, they have spent countless hours training foundational drills, practicing progression and precision, workshopping, performing, coaching and learning around the world! Their goal as a team is to spread their love of acro, through hard work and smart training. They are constantly looking to evolve their technique in training and teaching, all the while working towards a long life of partner acro. Through their focus on communication and working together, they have developed a coaching approach that has the potential to make acrobatics fun, progressive and sustainable for a lifetime!

They have learned from many different coaches along the way. All have different methods and styles, all of which are valid and worthy of knowing. It is the job of a partnership to work together to decide which techniques work, everyone is different and may require different techniques! Be open to them all and go with what works for you.

CHRISTINE & MICAH

Micah Ellinger has been immersed in the world of partner acrobatics since 2008, starting with an intensive circus program for 9 months at New England Center for Circus Arts in Vermont, and in 2016 completed 3 years training hand to hand at École Nationale de Cirque in Montreal. Since then he has performed internationally with several companies, including Cirque du Soleil, Cirque Éloize, and Circus Monti. In between performing contracts he has always enjoyed connecting with the recreational and hobbyist acrobatic communities, teaching worldwide at workshops, intensives, and festivals. Micah is a full time coach at Pitch Catch Circus and founded his own acro business: Micah Ellinger Acrobatic Coaching.

Christine is the founder of Christine Moonbeam Acro, co-founder of Colorado Acro Fest, Coach at Pitch Catch Circus: School of Acrobatics, a RYT 200 with a Bachelor of Arts in Dance from the University of Iowa. Christine was first introduced to partner acrobatics in 2010 while working with a youth social circus for underserved youth in Washington D.C. called Zip Zap Circus USA. It was here that her passion for acro started to take flight! She has been studying partner acrobatics and handstands ever since with sports acro, circus and hand balancing coaches in the US and Europe. She has never been able to separate social wellness and circus because of this influential beginning.

Christine has spent the last 10 years developing pedagogy, educating acro teachers, facilitating various events, traveling and teaching around the US, Europe, Asia, and Mexico. Christine believes partner acrobatics is a powerful tool for self-discovery, empowerment, and community building. She is an advocate of earth stewardship, food sovereignty and BIPOC + Trans allyship.

TOM

Tom is a professional circus artist and teachers who started training Dutch acrobatics, upgraded it with Ukrainian technique, refined his work under tutelage of various experienced coaches and incorporated elements of dance and martial arts in his movement. Some of his teachers are: Jim and Det, Wybren Wouda (ACAPA; Codarts), Slava Kukuskin (Kiev; Moscow; ESAC), Chris Murawski (German & Polish Sport acrobat with more than 20 national and international titles).

Tom was born as the only German who is not on time, in Bavaria (Germany). After trying almost every sport he got hooked to acrobatics at the age of 18. During his chemical engineering studies he started performing in various groups, duos, trios all over Europe. After an “early-life-crisis” in 2014 he decided to quit his studies, (which made his parents really happy) and went as a guest student to the circus school ACAPA in Tilburg where he graduated together with Ayla Moes who is currently one of his acrobatic partners. Since then, he has been performing in various festivals, theatres, operas, circuses and dance shows amongst others. The last years he also joined WIRWAR Company, and teamed up with Friedi Kohring with whom he works since march 2020. His combined lack of discipline, natural ability to avoid hard work, love for comedy series, excessive sun bathing and awesome hair style, have created the performer and teacher he is today.
